Rodney Sicalo
Rodney emigrated to America in 2001 from Uruguay, South America. He has a background in Architecture and Engineering, which he studied for six years at a Uruguayan college. After moving to the USA, he faced language barriers, so he pursued a career as a Union Journeyman Lineman. He completed the ALBAT apprenticeship in three years and worked on the power lines of Chicago, traveling across America to assist with outages caused by climate-related disasters.
In 2016, Rodney bought his first home on the outskirts of Chicago. When he got a dog for his daughter, he needed to build a fence for his property. Not wanting to block the beautiful backyard views, he decided to invent a new fence system using his skills as a lineman and his background in architecture and engineering. This invention became what we now know as AIRWAY Fences — the fence with no posts and no rails.
Now, in 2024, Rodney has decided to share his innovative fence system with others. Many have shown great interest in this design that blends so well with the natural surroundings of his home.
Luis Sicalo ( Rodney’s Dad)
In memory of my dad, who passed away during the COVID era. He was a mentor to me. He taught me the value of hard work and encouraged me to always try new approaches to challenges.
